When it comes to bold hairdressing, Denise’s work speaks for itself. Completing her Apprenticeship with Vogue many years ago, Denise is now looking after a thriving clientele who are avid followers of her strong style.

“My passion is using bold fashion colours that bring out the best in a haircut and personal style. I also love natural balliaged looks that brighten up long hair”

“My personal favorites are Colour Extend shampoo – it’s a great colour retention product! Extreme Rescue Force is another product I swear by – it is perfect for bleach damaged locks.”

“Because I love strong bold colours – the red of Marcia Cross is a favourite of mine. I also like celebrities, Isabell Lucas and Brooke Mueller for their on-trend balliaged looks.”

Stylist Profile: Yianni

Yianni is a veteran of his craft, with 11 years in the industry; Yianni has certainly mastered the art of a fantastic haircut. Recently back from a trip to Hair Expo in Sydney learning the latest in styling from around the globe, Yianni has a good blend of experienced know-how and up-to-date techniques.

When it comes to cuts – Yianni says…

“I enjoy creating strong shapes and lines in style-cuts, incorporating natural texture for versatility. I try not to push the natural fall of hair so that the style is easy to maintain throughout its wear.”

Yianni cant live without….

“For curls I am getting into the new Wool Shake in the Style Connection range from Redken – it creates great texture and movement for straight hair also. Outplay for men’s cuts is a must-have, it gives a satin/matte finish and has a good hold. For heat protection, I prefer to use Spray Starch – it isn’t simply a thermal protectant but gives hair some structure as well.”

“Cate Blanchette’s new short crop is great, I love the strength and simplicity of the shape.”

Todd styles for Thurley S/S collection launch in Sydney

Todd has been on the fashion trail again this week, flying down to Sydney for the day to create some beautiful looks for the Spring/Summer Thurley collection. He had the pleasure of looking after some of Australia’s top models, including Samantha Harris, covergirl of the current Australian Vogue magazine. The hair was soft, romantic and beautiful - incorporating also the hottest trend of the moment, braiding.
